A new concession contract was signed for the development, operation and maintenance of the Kribi Multipurpose Terminal (KMT) in Cameroon.
Concession awarded for the management of Kribi Port - It will be the Filipinos of the International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) to manage for the next 25 years port operations at the multi-functional terminal at the port of Kribi in Cameroon.
This was reported by the specialised media, reporting the news that the Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK) of the assignment for the development, operation and maintenance of the terminal.
International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has entered into an agreement with Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK). KMT, a subsidiary of ICTSI, is now the official dealer of the multi-purpose terminal for the next 25 years.
Hans-Ole Madsen, Senior Vice President and Regional Head of ICTSI for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said:
"ICTSI is very proud to collaborate with Cameroon and the Port of Kribi for the operation and development of the Kribi Multipurpose Terminal''.
The terminal is a deep-water harbour new building located 150 kilometres south of Douala, specially designed to handle multifunctional logistics services, as well as offering support services to the oil and gas industry.
"Our aim as a company is to make the port of Kribi an engine for positive and sustainable growth," said ICTSI's vice-president in charge of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hans-Ole Madsen, "ICTSI will work diligently to provide services that act as a catalyst for the Cameroon foreign tradeactively promoting the Kribi logistics corridor, which includes Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon'.
