And for good reason, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled on 17 April, the official logo and name of the football competition that will see all African teams face each other and compete for the Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
" This is the official logo of CAN Total, Cameroon 2019 in French and English with features such as the colours and their position on the logo, the white star in the host country of the competition in Africa, especially the logo of the official sponsor which is Total. "
Jean Baptiste Biaye exults, a member of the organising committee (Cocan). He added that, this revelation denotes the confidence placed in Cameroon by CAF for the organisation of the competition in June-July 2019.
In the same vein, Félix Zogo, president of the Cocan Communication Commission, said:
"Symbolically, this draws a definitive line on the issue: whether or not CAF agrees with Cameroon to organise the games in the country'.
For its part, the CAF indicated that "any other unauthorised disclosure or use of these logos is prohibited. Violators are subject to sanctions.
