Investing in Cameroon - The Bank of Central African States (BEAC), which prints XFA currency for Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic and Chadhas just received board approval to sign a financing agreement with the World Bank.
According to the official statement the Council, held 4 Jul 2018 in the capital of Cameroon, the funding, the amount of which was not disclosed, will benefit the BEAC and the Central African Banks Commission (COBAC) and the Group for Action against Money Laundering in Central Africa (GABAC).
"The Council authorised the governor to sign the agreement and therefore urged the BEAC Board of Directors to make every effort to achieve the funding targets set". reads the statement
