{"id":7361,"date":"2019-03-09T17:20:26","date_gmt":"2019-03-09T16:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aedic.eu\/?p=7361"},"modified":"2019-03-09T17:20:26","modified_gmt":"2019-03-09T16:20:26","slug":"africa-centrale-raubex-renovo-costruira-un-centro-commerciale-del-valore-pari-a-53-milioni-di-dollari-a-douala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aedic.eu\/en\/business-in-africa\/africa-central-raubex-renovation-constructs-a-commercial-centre-of-value-amounting-to-53-million-dollars-a-douala\/","title":{"rendered":"Business in Central Africa - Raubex Renovo will build a shopping centre worth USD 53 million in Douala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2908\" src=\"https:\/\/aedic.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/camerun-douala-grand-mall-300x169.jpeg\" alt=\"cameroon douala grand mall\" width=\"597\" height=\"336\" title=\"\">A modern shopping centre, complete with convention centre and cinema, will enrich the capital <a href=\"https:\/\/aedic.eu\/en\/investire-in-camerun\/\">Cameroon's financial<\/a> , Douala, by the end of 2019 thanks to the South African construction company Raubex Renovo, which is already at an advanced stage of construction.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The 45% at the Douala Grand Mall will be part of a larger development that will include a five-star hotel, offices and residential flats under construction in the near future.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"The mall and convention centre will signal to the world that Cameroon is on the move and attracts more visitors for business shopping and leisure,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>says Matthys Serfontein, Head of Development at Raubex Renovo. <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"Our modern planning and construction methods combine with energy-efficient design to make the shopping centre stand out significantly from its local competitors.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>How big will the shopping centre be?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Its size, to begin with, is significant; it is said to be<strong> the largest commercial centre in Central Africa<\/strong> when completed with an area of <strong>25,600 m2 of which 18,732 m2 retail on two levels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2911\" src=\"https:\/\/aedic.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Douala-Mall-big-centro-commerciale-camerun-300x169.jpeg\" alt=\"Douala Mall big mall cameroon\" width=\"572\" height=\"322\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Importantly, the shopping centre is located in close proximity to the international airport with a catchment area of 1.5 million people.<\/p>\n<p>The ground floor of the complex will have 14,160 m2 of retail space while the first floor will house 11,520 m2 including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a modern conference centre,<\/li>\n<li>cinema,<\/li>\n<li>food court<\/li>\n<li>commercial spaces .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will also be an underground car park in the basement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2909 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/aedic.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/douala-cenmtro-commerciale-mall-il-pi\u00f9-grande-dellafrica-centrale-300x169.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Western environmental standards were followed in the design and construction of the shopping centre,<\/strong> in accordance with the EDGE building certification system developed by the <strong>International Finance Corporation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Insulated cladding panels are being used for the external walls and roof, including double glazing on skylights and windows that allow the best use of natural light, <strong>the building will be the first fully air-conditioned shopping centre in<a href=\"https:\/\/aedic.eu\/en\/cameroon-country-card\/\"> Cameroon<\/a> .<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Focusing on large hospitality and retail projects, the team of <strong>Raubex Renovo<\/strong> has 20 years of experience in construction projects across Africa .
